JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of disaster coordinator is 40%, and it also includes a role as a local operations specialist for regional alarms (local alarm coordinator) at 10%, resulting in a total employment rate of 50%. Since the position is part-time, it can be excellently combined with another position. For example, we can offer you a combined position within Ängelholm Hospital, where you work as an Engel or as a temporary nurse covering vacancies in our various units while also serving as a disaster coordinator. It may also be possible to combine the position with another role within a different department in Region Skåne, depending on individual circumstances.

In the role of disaster coordinator, we offer a broad and exciting assignment. You coordinate and maintain disaster medical work. This includes disaster medical planning, coordination with the hospital's emergency representatives, as well as training and information for the hospital's staff. The work also involves oversight and implementation of disaster preparedness, such as stockpiling materials and communication/connection (RAKEL).

Your work occurs in collaboration with the crisis and disaster organization locally as well as regionally, where you are part of local and regional networks and working groups. Collaboration with the corresponding role in Helsingborg is also included, where you ensure that each disaster medical plan is compatible. Furthermore, your work involves planning and conducting exercises in various forms, such as alarm drills for the crisis and disaster management group and for clinically working staff at the hospital.

Independent work is part of your daily routine. This includes being responsible for materials in the disaster stock, exercise stock, and participating in network meetings and training organized by the Corporate Security and Preparedness Office (KSSB).

The role of local alarm coordinator means being the local contact between the hospital and the regional operations specialist. You will be responsible for handling equipment, and it is an advantage if you have technical knowledge and interest. It also includes working on preventive activities to reduce the risk of operational disruptions and having knowledge of backup routines. You will be involved in deviation work and communicate alarm statistics to relevant units.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to work in Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe are a requirement. We also see that you have good knowledge of English, both spoken and written. We consider it an advantage if you have many years of experience in emergency care, as well as an interest in preparedness issues. Additionally, we would like you to have good computer skills or experience with administrative tasks. It is an advantage if you have led projects or process-oriented work.

We are looking for someone who is calm, responsible, and confident in themselves. Since an important part of the work is to collaborate and educate others, we see that you have experience in this and good communication skills. You enjoy taking initiative and always follow through on what you start. To be successful in the role, you need to work in a structured manner, organizing and prioritizing effectively.
